The Problem of Moral Evil
Many people believe that the presence of moral evil in the world proves that an all-powerful, all-loving God simply doesn't exist. They argue that an all-loving God would simply not allow His creation to suffer. But it just may be that there is a relationship between genuine love and free agency that requires the possibility of evil (and, therefore, the existence of suffering). If this is true, what role does God play in the story of humanity and how will justice ultimately be served? |
